So recently Plat has stock in these jig heads in the "Glow" color, I was able to place a sizable order for the 1 and 1.5 gram #8 and #10 hook jigs. A bottle of black fingernail poilish is fairly cheap, and then you can easily convert the glow to black - but I don't. I catch just as many on these glow-color as the black. Oh, I cleaned them out of 1.5g #10, but was able to get 10 pack boxes (40 jigs) on my favorite sizes.

What I have been told by the Japanese folks who HAVE replied to me is, Daiwa is still making the jigs in glow and red glow color, albeit at a reduced production schedule, but has discontinued the black color production completely. PS both glow colors glow in the dark (luminescent), but you have to go into a completely dark closet or room to see it. Only the top half of the "glow" color glows, and the new red glow color the whole head glows red (but looks white in the daylight). So evidently a lot of ajing anglers cast at night and the glow works better. I ran out of the black ones last year, except for a few hoarded packs, but have been catching a lot of good fish on the Glow color. Just as many, I'd agree.

The hook on these jigs is second to none. Ir really is "scary" sharp, and I've had to yank one out of my thumb being careless. I have also begun hand-tying on these heads, and they WORK AMAZING. Fool's gold chenille with chartreuse yellow feather is the bomb in stained water or at night.

Order while you can. I would surmise that Daiwa is still running a production batch now and then on these colors, and you have to check regularly at the usual suspects, and jump on them when you can. Happy jumping!
