    Default Sunday spot

Only fish this spot on Sundays since parking for access is at the end of a industrial park road and there is not much activity there on Sunday. Almost 90 today, sunny and humid and the 20 minute walk in and out thru brush and woods kind of rough with long sleeves and pants/boots due to ticks. Have not ran into anyone here yet, but have twice seen boot tracks in mud, probably from someone wade fishing. For some reason the geese and ducks favor this stretch and are always there, most likely due to the small gravel island in the middle of the creek. Always see a lot of small freshwater mussel shells on these gravel beds and today found a fairly large one. Boy, there is a lot of info online about these mussels. Almost forgot, three good fish today, here's some pics of them. The last one gave that TFO ultralight rod a real workout.Name: DSC02354.jpg

Great-lookin' spot, moon. I am jealous because I know of no walk-in creeks I can fish right now, where I'm at.

My trailer is getting an axle swap, but the trailer place (a tried-and true local shop) is taking a minute...

I am SO LOOKING FORWARD to fall temps. Oh yeah - and a road-worthy trailer.

Gotta hand it to you, moon! I punked out due to the heat. I’m going to shoot for tomorrow morning, nice fish and the spot sound like a real winner!

The spot is gorgeous but I’d have to pass. By the time I got hot walking in I’d have to turn and go. In better conditions and feeling better, I’d be all over it. Those fish alone would have me going back. Thanks for the share.

Rains coming so tried to get a quick trip into the Sunday spot today. Overcast skies were welcome with all the hot sunny weather lately. Gold spinner w/trailer couldn't buy a hit and then hit a decent Smallie drifting a plastic bait. Shortly after trying a silver spinner w/trailer saw a silver flash grab the bait as it approached the bank and had my second drum, quite a bit smaller than the first one I caught in this same area. Another Smallie hit the same bait just as the rains were starting. A good hour and a half for sure.Name: DSC02423.jpg
