    Default Shallow spool

I want to order a shallow spool for my Daiwa Tatula lt 2000 and can’t seem to find one .
Does Digitaka sell spare spools ?
I haven’t been able to find any there .
I tried looking at Phat but couldn’t find one there either .
Anybody know a safe place to order one that takes PayPal?

Both places sell spare spools but neither sells the spool to the Tatula. Check out HedgeHog. They have some for the Tatula LT…..not sure what year model you have. They have some Daiwa and some SLP Works spools. One thing about spare spools…..they ain’t cheap….LOL.

    Thanks Randy,
Checked out Hedgehog , looks like the only one that I’m guessing would fit , is “sold out”. And would have been $55 .
I’ll just put $100 with it and order the shallow spool version from Digitaka.

According to hedgehog studio the SLP works type Alpha is compatable with the 18 Tatula as well as others
    [DAIWA/SLP WORKS] SLPW LT TYPE-α spool(RED) - HEDGEHOG STUDIO (hedgehog-studio.co.jp)

Plat show the SLP works as available in red and Gold
    PLAT/Fishing Tackle Store-Fishing Equipment/Catalog-Optional Parts-DAIWA SLP WORKS-SLPW SPOOL-2019 SLPW LT TYPE-alpha SPOOL

On Digitaka this spool should be compatable with the Tatula based on the info from hedgehog studio but would look differnt
18 CALDIA LT 2000S it is listed as #2 to #11 spool assembly.
    Parts Schematic 18_Caldia_LT_2000S.pdf (shopify.com)
DIGITAKA! - Japan Fishing Tackle Store

If you use this in a google search you'll get lots of results. daiwa slp works lt type Alpha 2000

Just a note on the SLP Works spools. You need the type Alpha not the type Beta I've ordered several of the type Beta from Aliexpress for my legalis reels. Hope that helps some.

This is all very confusing to me . Thanks guys for the help .
I’d hate to spend $50-60 on a spool that doesn’t fit or looks cheap or out of place on my new Tatula lt .
I’ll just use the one I have , with backing , like I’m doing now . And I’ll put the shallow spool version on my birthday wish list .

I ordered the Daiwa SLP Works (JDM) shallow spool from hedgehog, if I recall, which gives you 3 line depths. I bought the most shallow one - a mistake - as it only holds about 40 yards. I ordered the
LT2000SS type a model, which fits fine on my Tatula LT1000D-XH, and would fit perfect on your 2000, as they do not make a 1000 size. I only use this reel on a dock shooter, where the slightly bigger spool diameter gives better ballistics, and I don't mind the high retrieve. The Tatula is smooth, like you said, but it has lots of inertia, to me. It is in the "to sell" pile along with all my Revros, Regal, and other reels I just don't use anymore. Just my opinion. The Ballistic LT, Luvias, and Presso reels have ruined me. YMMV Send me a PM

Mine was a little sluggish out of the box , but four drops of Lucas reel oil on the main shaft and it turned into a different reel .
BTW , I just ordered the shallow spool version .
