That is a good looking reel, and for the price right now with the Yen Dollar exchange rate, it’s almost like a discount.

    Thanks STM ,
I like the Daiwa LT reels better than my latest Shimano reels , including the Ultegra 2000s I recently bought . The Daiwa was about $60 less too .
The Ultegra is a good looking reel and is smooth , but it just doesn’t fit my hand like the Daiwas do .
And my Nasci 500 froze up on me the other day when I caught a fish and the reel had a little load on it .
I think the drags are a tad better on the Daiwa reels .

Congrats on the new reel. I to have become a big fan of the Legalis as of late. I have the 1000 size American version. Would you say the 2000 can cast a lighter bait further than the 100 could cast the same boat? Your comment on how easily the line comes off the larger spool got me wondering about that.

It seemed like it does .
Yesterday was not a good barometer of how it’s going to cast with the wind like it was .
The wind is worse today .
I’ll report back when I can get out there with a 1/64 jighead and itty bit swimmer or trot magnet and let you know how it does .
Need to try it on a couple different rods too.
