Default Great fish on an Ultra Light!

Twenty inch rainbow caught below Normandy Dam. The heaviest trout I’ve ever had there. Caught on a Major Craft Fine Tail Stream Stage 4’ 6” UL rod. The fish hit a 5 gram gold spoon…line was Varivas Infinity PE X8 0.2 with a 4 foot section of 2# test FC leader. This fish made some great surges....giving the drag on the Ballistic FW 1000 a great test. Life is good and getting better!

    Regards

Great fish, bet he was a handful. Hope to see him on video, we will count the "Shoot Fire's" for a benchmark to qualify Big Fish

Definitely a bull. A good testiment to the rod and the angler to rein him in on UL tackle. Congrats

Thanks Stan. It was a handful.....and I was in new eyeglasses. I have worn progressives for 30 years but I remember when I first got used to them. It was like that all over again...the ground seemed uneven and it made me unsteady on my feet. The bank was muddy from all the rain...kept thinking I was going to fall in...LOL. If not for you and Yodi not sure I would have ever tried the Infinity PE...but boy I am glad I did...thanks.
