Default Hung up on the Trout.

I got into some decent trout today. Fished the Fine Tail Stream Stage 4’ 6" UL with a Daiwa Ballistic FW 1000 S-P reel, spooled up with Varivas Infinity PE X8 with a Gou rating of 0.2. These trout were crushing the Niakis 3 gram spinner….sending a good jolt to the elbow. Had 2 dozen trout....and their bellies are full. These new stream rods I have are really rigid.....more so than an ajing rod. Of course I have to keep in mind they are purpose built to impart your will to cranks and other hard baits. Due to the stiffness of the rod...the Infinity PE....it makes for a very exciting time fishing. Had so much fun today having trouble deciding to go back to Normandy or to Nickajack. If that is the toughest decision in my life today things are going pretty good!

    Regards

Nice to here a stiff ajing-like trout rod is fun catching trout, Alpha. Can't wait to test out the Xesta 4-10.

Man you’re sure right AH. Those bellies really do look full up. Thanks for the photos - always can use the inspiration! Spring is coming.

yeah me and my crew are all about trout fishing now and getting it done as several of my family who eat fish prefer the trout and I like to take care of them. besides it's fun now without having to go great distances to ketchm and being on the banks.

going out today and tomorrow before yet ANOTHER artic blast rolls thru to ice up lakes for couple days.

daughter and husband are out on ski slopes so this papa daycare cramps my fishing but is SOOO MUCH FUNNNNN.
