got an email this morning from platt. all varivus line 40% off if anybody wants to check it out. didn't say how long sale would last. just my luck i bought 5 spools last week.
Where did you find the FC in 2# test? I have been using the Twitch Master for a few months now. It is a great line....as Joe said it really helps with the sensitivity. Yesterday I fished the 3# test in current and landed 3 trophy trout......learned just how good the line truly is and it is what I will be using on trout rivers from now on. I have one reel spooled up with 4# test and in all likelihood will use it in place of the 3# test. Fighting big trout in current is tough so going to give myself a little cushion with the 4# test.

I finally got around to fishing with the 2lb test Sunline FC Sniper BMS line today, and I thought it performed very well. I spooled it up with no problems, and I did not have any line twists in the 2 or so hours I fished. To me, it was quite sensitive as I could feel just about everything on the retrieve back to me. The thing I probably liked about it the most is that it is bright and multi-colored. I had no problems tying the knot to the jig head and could see the line very well in the water.
I would still like to try the Varivas Ajing Blue Moon FC at some point, but this line is a definite keeper.

Advice on the best PE line to try for the 1st. time. Haven't been down that road yet but am going to order my 1st spool. Limber Tip is rated up to .4 PE. What brand would you guy's suggest for a really high end that will make me say wow. Scott

Best JDM I’ve tried so far is the Daiwa Presso Sensor + II in .15 and .3 sizes.
It is however, hard to find sometimes, terribly expensive, and the .15 is so thin it will cut you in a hurry if you put any tension on it around your fingers.
Best overall braid I’ve used, when taking price, useability, availability, and performance is the Suffix Nanobraid 2lb.
Runner up to the .3 Varivas Area Trout Limited Premium, my biggest two complaints with the Varivas, and the Daiwa to lesser extent, is the rapid color fade, and the Varivas Premium is so sick I struggle with knots to shock leader unless I go to a .006” or larger shock leader diameter.
The nanobraid is already ghost white, nothing to fade to.
I’ve recently been paring down what line I have on the Luvias spools and spare spools to just what I use, I’ve given or throw away all my PE lines except for the silk fine .15 Daiwa Presso for a really niche purpose, and the Suffix Nanobraid 2lb for everything else.
That said, the Ajing Master Blue Moon fluorocarbon has SEVERELY limited my use case for braid.
I’d wager less than 1/2 dozen trips this year will or have included braid.
Im up to 37 different ultralight lines tested this far, and I feel I’m probably done testing new line unless new fluorocarbons in hi-vis come out. I just want to fish now.
Good to see you posting again…..was wondering where you’ve been. I know you’ve used more lines than anyone I know. I’m using the Blue Moon for panfish…Spots….white bass….Infinity with D2 Jigs for trout only…..Twitch Master for trout using hard baits. But I still really like the Ester Lemoni for bluegill. Although I must admit haven’t used any Ester since my knee replacement. But I expect to when the bluegill stack up in the dead lock next month. Hope you’re catching lots of fish.
