I will spend more time with my Soare combo and will report back again.

Looks like my corto has been stuck in United States customs since the 29th.

Took mine 2 weeks and 3 days, but it is here safe and sound. Fishing trip and review coming soon.

Good to hear, Stan. Maybe the delay was due to current global health scare.

It always seems like it stalls at the US Customs office. Then the next update you get is that delivery is expected on that day or the next day.

I've ordered 2 JDM rods and 2 JDM reels so far and my orders arrive in 2-3 days once shipped. My orders sit in US customs a few hours and then I receive the order the next day. But I'm in California. I track my orders using Postal Ninja.

So far, the Soare has been everything I had hoped it to be with the "rigid support drag" being the main draw since I intend to use it with <2.5 lbs lines.
Good to know. I needed Core Protect since I wade fish and kayak fish.

Both the Soare (except 500S size) and the Cardiff have "Coreprotect" that you're looking for. Cardiff in size C3000 has an upgraded version of those seals – they call it "X-Protect".

I’m new to this JDM stuff. I wanting to order a set up but every time I go to Digitaka site, it’s always sold out of the ultra lite rods? I have been checking daily but it keeps saying sold out! Same thing with 1000 series reels. Could someone shed some light on this for me please.

The Japanese have production runs. The shops may sell out and it may be days....weeks....sometimes months waiting for next production run. It also could be out of production. If you could tell me specifically what you are looking at I might can tell you if it is out of production and then you could look for something else.

    Regards
