I got the Tubular tip...it'll be one awesome jig pole. I think it'll be great for just about anywhere that requires you to turn them.

On 1 piece rods shipping is around 100 bucks....you get hit with customs.....and you get hit with a handling charge from either FedEx or UPS....whichever is the shipper. Not a good deal. But bass guys buy them up....LOL.

You will not regret that choice. For the money, nothing on the US shelves can compare, at least that I have found.

The 6’1” corto does not seem near as stiff however I still haven’t fished with the 6’10” yet... all three of my rods from Japan are so light that the triplecross seems heavier to me (it is longer too)... I think it will be a great rod and I hope my dad likes it for his birthday... I hope everyone enjoys there new rods! I can’t wait to try the 6’10” corto... it will be my river trout rod... I will probably stick to sos on the corto’s but the rockin finesse needs something other than maxima... I am going to get some unitaka silverthread, varivas ester, applaud pink, and some other various 2lb lines...

Ran out of time this afternoon, and with 20mph winds forecast for tomorrow, the Corto will probably just have to wait.

Watching tracking from there is no fun. Best to forget you ordered it, and be pleasantly surprised when it arrives.

Oh, sure. Yeah. THAT could happen. As if... (goes to check EMS tracking for the 3rd time today).

Hey guys, I really, really like this Triple Cross rod!! What would be a good choice for my next Japanese rod?? Should I be looking into a Mebaru rod?? Maybe I should just buy another Triple Cross?

I'd like to have a mebaru rod to go with my ajing rod. Thoughts?

Maybe a Tict Ice Cube, I think they are a Mebaru rated rod. Several on here have one, and speak highly of them. Haven’t tried out the Corto yet, wind has been brutal here.
