Good to know. All the rods I have looked at in their inventory were 8,000 JPY shipping via FedEx. I see now that some other rods can be shipped for 2,600 JPY via DHL.

I'd be curious to learn how much of those 10-20% discounts will be lost on shipping (and handling) charges. I placed an order for a reel that I couldn't find anywhere else, but with just the handling fee (don't know shipping yet) it is already not looking that great compared to listed prices at other shops where the model is out of stock currently.

OK, here is a little bit of fun math from PLAT:

Reel on sale for 31,920 JPY plus shipping 2,100 JPY (not including handling) totals to 34,020 JPY. Original price with free shipping but without sale was 33,915 JPY!

Nice... Just wanted to round up my Made in Japan Luvias set, but one can get Certate for about the same price.

Received my YB Blue Current 83 TZ Nano Flex. Have not fished it yet, but first impressions are simply great – exactly what I've expected. It is not stiff at all, it feels a lot like 67 TZ Nano, only stronger (and of course longer). And super light. I think this will be it for lighter saltwater jig heads (2-3 g) and long casts. Initial impressions are very different from what Alphahawk have described for the 83 Long Cast.
My search may just be over, I now own half the line up of the Blue Current TZ Nano, which covers nearly all my fishing needs. Thinking of selling my Soare and Tict rods...

I do not own a YB rod and have thought several times about purchasing one but haven’t... might have to give them a shot... what rods do you currently own?

I’m thinking my 67 might need a buddy. Any particular one jump out as complimentary?

I used all of them in salt, some in freshwater. Ballistick is certainly pure salt; metal jigs go out to around 100 m on 1.5 PE. I also don't see a need to use the All-Range in freshwater due to length. I think the 67 will be great for trout when the season comes. The 77 makes a great bass rod due to action. Haven't fished the Flex yet.
