Default Lake Guntersville Crappie help please.

While this may seem like a stupid question to you guys, I was curious bout what are the best ways to crappie fish Lake Guntersville. Not being one who has fished lake Guntersville for crappie much in summertime, I cant imagine how tough it must be with all the grass for them to hide in.Do they relate to the river channel ledges pretty good down there? I am gonna stray from my home lake in Tn, Wood Res, and fish there. Probably put in Scottboro Area.Years ago when younger I fished for bass there so I know the lake pretty good.I have slowed down a bit and chase crappie mostly now.Any help is much appreciated. No grass on WR.Have to fish deep standing timber, or man made structure brought to the lake. Thanks

I fish at night, and havent been much this year. It has been a month already since my last trip. I can usually catch 'em up into August. Weed lines next to deep water, and the creek and river channel ledges are what I fish. Sounds like you already have a good plan. I don't know if Roseberry has been sprayed for weeds yet. I would avoid that area if it has been, you will see docks and boat houses posted if it has been sprayed. Also the Preston Island area may have serious snags from a Tornado that went through there several weeks ago.

Have you fished Normandy lately ? I love that little lake. Haven't fished it for 4 years now I quess. Time flies. Good Luck

Thanks for the information.Yes, I have fished Normandy but didnt do much good. Caught 19 with partner May 16th when our crappie club fished there but many didnt measure. Normandy seems to be pretty tough fishing this year. Lake level was extremely low a few months ago and now it's been above where it should be. But now its about normal again.
