I may or may not have caught a few good ones in the pocket right past that lay down There's a rock about 10-20 feet from the far corner that held a couple fish this past year.

I did have an encounter with the small gator towards the bridge this week. I was fishing some topwater and here it came out of the bushes after it. Came all the way to the boat and I put my arms up and said "BOO". As soon as he saw me, he darted off back towards the bank. Sure did make me laugh seeing that big lizard get scared of me in my little stump jumper. Saw the usual gator as well back at the lay downs in the big shallow area. He seems to always be there. He lets me jig near him as long as I dont get extremely close.

New to the forum, but wanted to say that we saw the giant gator today in limestone bay, right where the bay turns into the creek. The entrance to the first gravel pit coming in from the bay. I have a 15’ Jon and it was almost as long as we are.

I’ve also seen some smaller ones in cataco between the river mouth and the ramp.

Caught a couple crappie today but the heat did us in.

Welcome to the forum. Listen to these other fellas in the thread. I wouldn't even catch a cold if I didn't have their help. There's a lot of great fishermen in the Alabama group.
