Sounds like a fun day RB, thanks for the report.
Fished north end of limestone today and found it to be slow. Caught 12 keepers and a couple of shorts all from the gravel pits. Creek was almost clear and pits were a little dingy. Also caught 5 nice spotted bass on my way out of the creek. crappie bite died late morning. All fish caught and released using Bobby garland blue chrome 20 inches under a bobber. Current was heavy early but died mid day water 2 ft below full pool

Good catch. I wish I would have got up and went. I stayed up too late chasing pigs last night. It was fun but wasn’t productive lol

Sounds like a good day to me
The love for fishing is one of the best gifts you can pass along
riverboss,
I just missed you! I kept 9 and returned 5 or 6 more larger Crappie. Lots of shorts. I fished up the old creek channel, then crossed over into the main channel and fished up as far as I could before paddling heading back down stream. As I rounded the corner headed down stream and turning into the big pit I saw you just making the final right hand turn before the bay. Wind was a little rough at times and the Crappie are still a little thin, but I found a few. The water was 52 when I started and 54 in the pits when I left. The warm rain and high water should bring the fish in this week.

Will they suck the bottom right back out like they did after the last rain?

I thought that was your vehicle parked on the peninsula road Wondered how I didn’t see you
They'll drop it back down, but it will take a couple weeks if we get all the rain they're predicting.
