Way to go, never thought to fish that except in the spring!
fished from the bank where the pumphouse drains to the river and was fortunate to find the flood gates open and crappie biting every cast almost. fished from 115-2 pm and caught and released 25-30 the majority were keepers from 9-12 inches. all caught on a bobby Garland spring minnow 2.5 ft under a cork retrieved slowly alongside the current coming out of the pumphouse slough....lots of skipjacks and bluegill too

Awesome. I’ve never fished there much but need to give it a try.

It’s a hit and miss hole but worth checking anytime your killing clock from the bank. Today is first time I’ve found those floodgates open and no one in the way of me getting a shot at it. Fishes good with no current from slough as long as there are bait fish around. Most fish today were 30-40 ft from bank and that’s pretty normal. Eel grass that’s been there last couple years is gone

Great report, thanks. Love it when they are flowing water out of that pump house!
