Default Kayak Trip Report, Indian Creek

I fished Indian Creek today. Cold outside and the water was cold also (47 degrees), but the Crappie were on fire. I kept a limit and returned another 15 or 20 that would measure. The skipjack, gills and little crappie were everywhere. Best bait was a 1/16oz jig head with a Bobby Garland Tuxedo Shimmer body fished 4 to 5 feet deep on laydowns, single pole. The water has cleared nicely with visibility of about 18 inches.

Pics tomorrow when I clean them!

River Boss, I'm moving into a shallow water Cadillac. I picked up a used Water Moccasin 1448 outside Atlanta last week.

It will probably take me a few weeks to get it rigged out the way I want it, but it should be ready for spring!

Going again tomorrow while the catching is easy! First time I've caught a perch in Indian Creek.
