It's coming here in Memphis, Bartlett, TN area.
24 hr. curfew for the city of Tuscaloosa, What's it like in your area?
How does that work? Can you not leave home at all?

Yup: can't leave home unless it's essential like food, medicine and such. It's one step below a true Wuhan-style lockdown.
So you can’t even go off by yourself and fish?

Just got pick up Mexican food in Huntsville, after working on garden all day! Lots of people in line, everyone very polite! We will get through this! My best to all!

Will the WMA’s in Alabama be open for Turkey season! Don’t see any reason why they wouldn’t, as long as everyone kept their distance.

Intial "soft" shutdown went into effect earlier this week, but it's all but being ignored. Now the mayor has had to shutdown city parks etc as of a few hours ago. I have seen a slight decrease in traffic around Memphis but not much maybe 10% less or so. What I have seen is a big increase of older folks out an about. Been working in Bartlett last couple of days and most folks I see out are the ones that are considered most susceptible to the virus. Guess you can't kill good old American spirit, but I now find it hard to believe that the blame is placed on the younger folks squarely for disregarding and spreading the virus to the more vulnerable due to irresponsibility. It will get more intense as the masses choose to ignore it. Use common sense is all, and I don't subscribe to the fear factor one bit. If I didn't have to be around other folks then I wouldn't, but I would not stay locked in the house either!

Maybe I'm wrong but this is a way over the top reaction. Just look up how many people have died from the flu. It's around 16000 this year alone in just the US. I understand it is bad for older people or people in bad health but this think isn't even close to as bad as the flu or the numbers don't look that way. It's like we're in the twilight zone. Kids get out of school for rain now. I don't believe we could win WW2 now. I'm just staying away for elderly people and people in bad health so I don't get them sick. I just don't see the need in all of this panic.
