Of squirrels that is ! Friday morning those guys were all over the road I saw at least 20 in a 30 mile back road trip. That got me thinking about what’s coming up before long . It’s one thing I’ll pass up chasing crappies for a few trips to chase them and that’s bluegill and shell crackers ! And seeing all those squirrels reminded me of my favorite type bait for them and it’s the squirrel tails jigs tipped with a short piece of red worm but my problem is that you can’t find them made of a good quality around here ! So thanks to CRAPPIE.COM. I have access to great folks out their that make quality stuff that will last and they will make it how you want it so here is a pic of some squirrel tails tied up for me by Jeff (crappiedreamer ) give him a shout and get you some quality jigs on your way! More pics to come in the next month or so of the results of these quality made squirrel talis! They will catch crappie too! Thanks Jeff

Jeff's a good dude and does make good baits. His squirrel tails gave me the fever too. I've dug my vise out, and have some squirrel tails, thread and just waiting for a good time, when I'm not doing something else to tie some up.

You do so much for me already buddy ! I sure do appreciate your friendship you have helped me in so many ways I could never repay ya for all you have done !
I’ll keep and eye out for some that don’t quite make it across the road!
thanks so much my friend!
Can you give a little info on how you fish them. I’ve always just used red worms or crickets but want to try jigs for them.

Tip squirrel tail or a hair jig with 1/4” of red worm thrown into area where fish are watch your line for the picking up of it or bite before it hits the bottom if no bite before it hits the bottom let it set for 15-20 seconds pick it up and move it back to ya about a foot keep repeating until you find out exactly where the fish are or how they want it ! You usually will catch the bigger fish on a jig/ tipped jig than you will with just a worm or crickets ! You can use it under a float but the shell crackers usually like it still or moving real slow close to the bottom!
