Question Fluorescent Fishing Lights green vs. others

I have been trying to study up on the use of various lights to attract fish during a night stalk. I knew you guys would be the best in the world to go to for no bull answers. I have read that the fish are attracted to the light because it simulates the light at dawn and they want to feed (I am not sure if this is true or not). If this is true, wouldn't it be best to use a full-spectrum light (one that contains all of the colors that simulates sunlight)? I have also read that green is very popular because of its ability to penetrate the water a great distance. Is green the best or is it just one of those things where everyone is going to have their own opinion? Any help that you guys can offer would be greatly appreciated. Hope you all had a blast at Slabfest!

A week or so ago, I had a guy next to me under a bridge with the green florescent lights that you suspend underwater. He had 3- 9in lights. I had 2 floating wal mart lights. The kind that have a headlight in a styrofoam bucket. I saw a couple of minnows and baitfish swim through my lights over the course of the night. From across the water (from 1 piling to the next) I could see a constant flow of small baitfish swimming in the green light. I don't know if the green light made them easier to see or attracted more but I ordered 4 21 inch lights from Bass Pro last week and should be able to give an opinion of them later this week or first of next week

Ive fished on them both, green and regular. I think green draws fish better and seems to carry for a long distance under the water. I think the main thing to remember is 4 little letters.... led! Light emitting diode lights are toughter and last longer and are generally brighter. Green LED's and a calm Weiss lake, go get the grease ready.

    Default Deer Hunting

Well it's like deer hunting to me. If you walk to your stand in the morning darkness you should have the green light so as not to spook the deer. True the white light affects fish differently than deer but I also think it's a little too much for them I gotta go with the fluorescent too.

    Default 48" Green Fish Light

This is my first posting on Crappie.com.
Hello, I Have Fished With Both The White Lights That Float on top And The Green Fluorescent Lights .
There Is No Comparison. The Green Light Will Attract More Shad Than The White Light Without A Doubt. I have 10's of thousands of Shad around the boat using the GREEN FISH LIGHTS.
I Fish Mostly At West Point Lake And Have Had 3 Or 4 Boats Around Me And Caught More Fish Than All Of Them Put Together Using The Green Fish Lights.
I Live In Temple, Ga And Make The 24" And 48" Green Fish Lights. I Sell Them For $130 For The 48" And $99 For The 24". I Had A Hydro Glow About 3 Years Ago And Paid Almost $200 For It. I can make the lights for a 12 DC volt and 110 AC volt with battery clamps or a cigarette plug any length cord. My Lights Are As Good As Hydro Glow---just Cheaper.
