    Ditch, what about putting in at the end of CR 71. Is that any good, or is there a put in place there. It looks good on the map.

    There's a gate at Mooresville (where it enters Wheeler National Wildlife Refuge) that's closed and lock this time of year. The only access would be walking in from the gate.

    I see an old guy fishing in a canoe who is in his 80's and swears that he catches sauger in there sometimes in winter....Ive caught a few perch but no sauger....

    The only place I've caught a few sauger is the Flint and the Pain Rock River during winter. Limestone Creek is spring feed way up stream so even during droughts there's a constant flow entering Lake Wheeler. Who knows, maybe a few in there from time to time.

    That’s a beautiful look at that creek where the old bridge is . Brings back a lot of memories.
