I'm about literally in the same boat. I fish from a kayak and am just learning how to use my first depth finder. I don't have any spots for you to try but im game if you want some company to go with you sometime.
I know it’s a long shot, but would anyone be interested in helping out a fellow crappie addict? I fish from a kayak and can’t cover a ton of water, but I have a garmin 7sv and I’ve been searching for some brushpiles that produce without much success. I’ve never fished a brush pile before and I’d love to try it out. The question is... would anyone be willing to share some gps coordinates with me of your known piles or at least point me in the right direction to get in close proximity to some? I know I know it’s hard to give up a good fishing spot lol but I’m struggling without a boat with a motor over here. I’m on lake Guntersville.

I'm about 10 minutes away from it in Albertville.
Alright yeah I live in the Hampton cove area on the opposite side. What kind of kayak setup do you have?

It's a tan Native redfish 12. Its an oldie but goodie. Ive got a few rod holders, a Garmin Stiker 4, and a few other little doodads on it. Its really nothing very special but it is a quick, comfortable, and stable kayak. I'd love one of the newer dedicated angler yaks, but would probably spend that money on a jon boat instead. Where on Guntersville have you tried looking? Where do you normally fish?
Hey that’s not bad and probably better than mine lol I have the ascend 128t from cabelas and it’s not very fast, but it’s real stable. I’ve tried town creek around the bridge (which Ive caught a few there), short creek, the honeycomb area, 69 bridge, and 431 bridge by the Publix. There’s always crappie to be caught around the bridges, but I’m looking for more remote, brush-type structure. Have you ever gone way up in town before? It’s about a 3-4 mile trip that I wanna run my sidescan over. I know paddling on mine I average a comfortable 2mph lol so it’ll be a long day. Would you be interested in doing something like that?

I’m also going to enter the NAKA big bass tournament for October, so I’ll be looking for some big bass also.
