Roger I don't know about you but Logan Martin has been terrible for me the last few years. It has been on a down swing and hasn't shown a sign of improvement yet. Not sure what has happened but it's been slow on the best days for me.

Yea, think I'm done for a while. Everywhere I go from the bank, I am running into Bald-Faced Hornets. No thanks! I'm just going to either go at night from a boat or maybe rent one from Lake Purdy, which is literally 3 mins from my front door, until Spring.

All lakes go thru up and down cycles. The state biologist that works the lake has told some of the guides that Logan Martin has been at the bottom of the down cycle for now and should be starting back on the upward cycle soon. Just to help my hurt feelings the wife and I went to Neely Henry yesterday and were able to get 10 crappie up there but the wind was blowing so bad we could not fish most of our regular spots.

My Biologist friend with Game and Fish told me this morning that Neely Henry below the Dam is producing good Crappie. I've never been. I thought about trying it out Friday morning. It's roughly an hour from my apartment. Also, Rocky Point over by the Goergiastate line on West Point Lake is producing good Crappie. I don't have a boat so I have to find places that are deep and producing from the banks.

Google earth is your friend. Before I had a boat I did good in the spring and early summer from the bank. Fall was a little different. I picked up a John boat when I was around 16yr old and fish small lakes into the summer and did great. If you look around you can find a John boat for under $500. My John boat was.a peace of .... but it got the job done.
