    I caught some nice Crappie today, Pushing and LL @ 21' x .7mph.

    I longline exclusively all year. You can check out some of my pictures on the NC board. I do not use any minnows jigs only and have done well even with water temps in the 40's. The key is to get the jig down deep enough and the fish will let you know the speed and depth you need to be at. I'm not bragging it's just how I learned to fish for them years ago and this is what I fill most comfortable with on catching crappie.     Basically they are the same thing except pushing your moving faster than just drifting
