That is where we go at night too. Good spot. There is a big brush pile in the center of those pillars about 18 ft down. I usually just set my rigs at 10-12 feet and hold on tight! I'll tell you a trick that you will love man. I never missed a bite doing this trick too ... and there is a youtube video on this as well. Reports from my friends out there say Brown's Creek (69 bridge) is good too.

Dollar General has 8" glow stick packs, 8 to a pack. I grab the green and yellow. I use electrical tape and tie tape the plastic tube with the glow stick in it to the tip, from the tip to the 2nd eye back. Crack em first of course. Try this method and let me know how you do! Also, it keeps the bugs out of your face. We don't use a green light either. That just draws in the gar and bass.

Also, try the double minnow rig. I use a barrel swivel and come down 12" tie on a hook/loop knot then drop down another 12-18" do it again. I have a 1/8 egg sinker above my swivel and a chart. bead.

Glad you got a good haul. The weather kept us at bay. You never know out there with the lightning and such. I'm hoping to come back soon so I can refill my freezer!

    Have a good one bama208.

You are more than welcome my friend. I don't mind being helpful at all. I try my best. I don't think I'm going tonight though. Waiting on this weather to move out. It says 20% but you never know. It said 10% at my house last night and I saw 4 lightning strikes. lol

Well done!!! I went out there a few weeks ago and only caught 2 crappie......it was the weekend the heat index was 118 degrees so maybe that had something to do with our lack of catching. lol
