Good deal congrats! Question: Do you get much line twist when you long line a beatle spin vs a horsehead jig?
Went Monday and trolled using beatle spins with 1/16 calf hair jigs and had a pretty good day.

Nice fish, fish the delta myself, with the rising temps earlier than normal I've been locating fish in the 8' to 11' range wont be long they will be in the river deep I would imagine.
I have no problems with line twist, but I use spinners that I make and have designed them to where I can match the spinner with the jig head and they always run true when you pull them at the right speed. I offer #2,3 and 4 blade sizes. #2 is for a 1/32 or 1/24 jig head, the #3 is for a 1/16 (which is what I use most of the time) and the #4 is for a 1/8 jig head. The way they are designed, you can change blade sizes on the boat in just a minute. Also, because of the design you can pull them slower than most spinners and get the blade to turn and they tangle less because they have no swivel. I use 12 and 14 ft. jig poles and pull them so that the tips of the poles dance from the vibration of the blade (usually 1 mph or less). If you speed up the poles will begin to stop dancing, but the blades are still turning and will still run true. You can check them out on my web site at https://www.hand-tied-crappie-jigs.com.
