Is that the water Greenbrier Rd. bridges over? I didn't see a good put in place, but it looks very fishy?? I fished it last weekend, and put in at the bridge. Got a cut up leg for my troubles and the south wind blew me all over the place. but as i said it looks very fishy. Is there a better put in place for a kayak?

That's not where I thought you were at all. Have you ever put in near where Greenbrier bridges over what I think is beaver dam creek? It looks pretty fishy.

I've done well from the bridge downstream, but upstream is almost dry during the winter draw down. I've never catch much above. I've been told that the bass stack in the area when they're spawning.

Cool. there's a creek just east and on the south side of the river from Blackwell swamp. Ever fished through there. I found a couple of bridges further south that look like good put in spots for that creek -- I have no idea of it's name. Is it good fishing?

I think the creek your talking about connects the swamp to the river. There's a control structure on it just before the river. I've gotten a few Crappie in there, but haven't fished it for a couple years.
