    Default Kayak Trip Report, Decatur Flats


    I tried Decatur again near River Walk Marina. The day was a bust, caught 5, only 3 would measure. Water was clear and 56 degrees, but couldn't find the Crappie (or couldn't get them to bite). I tried everything from two feet down to 19 with no luck. Lots of bait and schools of fish at 8 to 10 feet through out the area, but no luck.

    Don't know about Decatur but at Guntersville, vertical jigging has been working for us on schools at 16 feet and deeper.
