you definitely need a guide if your coming soon. Lake is very low. When are you coming? I would be glad to take you but my schedule is limited due to the fact I work full time. I am available on weekends. Call Lee Pitts 256 390 4145. Tell him coach told you to call him. also Mark Collins is excellent. Both these guys book up very fast so call quick or p.m me for a weekend. My number is 256 422 3402. Cell 706 766 0372

Weiss Lake Lodge is a great place to stay but they are not on the water but just about 5 min. away. They also have some guides that work out of there. I know these folks personally and they are great folks. Home Page

That was nice of you, Coach. Good luck guys!

Quick question though ... you stated the lake is very low. Would that mean fish in deeper water or bank?

fish are going to be in the creek and river channels or on the ledges along side river channel. You can long line or spider rig and catch them

Thanks! There were these two older gentlemen spider rigging the other day off the back of the boat, and I asked them what they were catching, and they said a headache ha! They told me the Crappie haven't moved up yet. And the pics I see from all these really nice fish, they are being caught in 25 fow? This weather is crazy. I think we may have an early spawn, so I been going every weekend to be ready. LOL
