Well I have fished it some out of a canoe several years back. I was fishing for bass back then. Buddy of mine used to ease over there on his lunch and catch some nice bass on top water around the boat launch area. Never have fished it for crappie. I have not fished it in over 10 years but it does not seem like there is very much water frontage to bank fish since there are several houses around the bank. Nice lake to explore when you get a kayak.

I've never heard of it, if there's public access I'd love to give it a try some Saturday.

Lake George is a good little lake to fish. Folks say there "aint any crappie in that lake", so I politely agree and go out and get a few. Easy access and not crowded. Last year was not as productive as the year before but we still managed to find some nice fish.

I fish Lake George almost every week crappie bite been fair. A lot of small bass in it no monsters. Water being low there is a lot of stumps you can run into if you don't know the water.
