    Default Swan creek Kayak report

I fished yesterday afternoon for a little while. Good evening with 15 or so bluegill and 1 shell cracker. Fish were scattered along the pad edges. If you caught one, move on as that was it for that spot. White jig on small spinner again.
Kept 10 to clean . The fish have a beautiful color to them. Any reports on Decatur near the Y or the railroad tracks on the west side ?

Fishing Man, did you make the outrigger? I have been thinking about doing about the same thing. How do you like them?

I did. Here is a link to the video on u tube. I shortened the arms where it would not hang up in the pads as bad. All supplies were from Amazon. I used 1 inch metal conduit for the main arms( only about 2 1/2 ft long )Helps when you are setting the hook on a bass.

    Fishing Man,
Thanks for the link. I may try to build a set some time soon. I am building a kayak cart right now, I get it done and caught up around the house that may be my next project. The carry from the truck to where you put in at Swan Creek is just too far for me to carry and I don't like dragging my kayak and at 92 lbs it is too heavy to carry...I guess the new to me has not worn off yet. However my son did say one day last week someone had slid one of the logs out of the way and you could drive on down next to the water at Swan Creek now.

I think they moved it where the tractor could get in. They disked and planted from the spring almost up to the logs on Sunday..I would not want to drive a truck across it now. The outriggers really help stabilize my kayak.

Please don't drive on anything planted!

Areas in both Swan Creek and the Wheeler NWR had been locked back up because of people driving on the planted fields.
