    Default 03/07/2016 Logan Martin report

Water was muddy and the temperature was 55 (in the morning).

I fished from 7 am until noon.

I trolled around the Cropwell area using 1/32 oz jigs, 1/16 oz jigs, and I also tried 1/8 oz roadrunner jigs. I tried colors from white to dark. I trolled water from 5 to 16 feet deep. Speed was from .7 to 1.0 mph. I fished areas that were productive for me in the past at this time of year. I had several bites and caught one small bass.

I have not caught much this spring so far. I hope others are having better luck.

I caught them Saturday on Logan Martin in 4 to 6 fow 2f under a float. Black and chartreuse was the best color. Also had some friends that caught them long lining in spring creek.

All the rain we have had has the water messed up and it looks like it won't get better any time soon.

Lake eufaula is the same way. We did OK two weeks ago, but the cold rain last week give them lock jaw. What few I caught was a long way from spawning. Small eggs.

High muddy water has been a problem for me to.

We still caught them pretty good. The boss caught 50 something today. I'm going in the morning I'll report what happens.

Sorry to steal your thread But I used to stay At home when it was chocolate milk and high water but went 2 Saturday's ago and to my surprise caught a 2.44 and a 2.38 and a1.96 and 13 more measuring and about 20 shorts big fish came off a reddish color jig and others no certain colors so if it's safe enough to be out I probably going to go.

    Way to go Slabprowler!

I usually stay home in the chocolate milk, but I love to fish in the stormy weather. Nothing seems to turn the fish on more than 30 MPH winds.
