    Default 3-27-15 Belfonte report

Fished Belefonte today between 1 and 3PM. Caught and released 22 crappie. Most were of legal size. Fan casted from the bank with most fish being caught about 30 feet off the bank. Used a jig set 3' under a float, they wanted it reeled in very slow. I used Bobby Garland Baby shad. Blue grass and Baby craw were the colors they hit best. Jigs were tipped with a chartreuse glow crappie nibble. Water was clear and the water was being pulled from the lake swiftly. It was a nice day to be on the water.

Good report jack. Seems like float and fly has been the best tactic lately.

Fished down your way Jack Thursday kept 15 and threw back a lot of short ones. The Bass fisherman were everywhere and they tried to chase me off, I just aimed it the guy running the trolling motor with deadly aim with my orange cork.I did catch a 4 lb bass or better held it up and threw it in the bucket.Got some good looks from the boaters.

I didn't find any fish on the few blow downs in the area. Alabamaal - poor green carp fishermen needed that fish. You know they were trying to win money .
