Glad, in the end, you had a great day.
The day started off like a monday morning traffic jam when your already 15 min late!!! I woke up late, my dad was running late, couldnt find this and couldnt find that. thought i was more ready than what i was, all of this before we got to the ramp. Finally got to the ramp around 6:30, my dad backs me down the ramp, had about a 7 min run to my spot. boat is in the water, i start to crank it..... battery seemed weak after charging all night, try to start, and start, and start. nothing.. boats waiting in line to put in. told my dad to pull up, changed starting battery with one of my trolling batteries, well starter decided to hang with the bendix up."hurry give me a wrench dad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" and a gas leak. not wanting to waste a trip with my dad in over a year, i told him lets just troll to this flat i know of, not sure if its holding fish, but i knew just the time with him would be worth it instead of calling it a day. so after complaining on the way to this flat and i will admit with a few choice words about my motor and starter, we got our poles out and started back and forth. To my surprise, i hear dad in the back pulling one in. then another and another. then i started. we finished the day at 12:00 with 20 keepers. 2 of the 20 were over 15. i weighed my biggest 7 just to see and they went 8.5 lbs. an awesome ending to a slow bad start. i was very thankful and very blessed to have this time with my dad this morning. bite was slow when we got there and even slower when we left. anything with pink on it was the ticket today, started with various colors, ended with every jig with some type of pink in it. no hits on anything with white or blue. sorry for the long story but thought it ws worth it, seeing how the day did not start off very well for me today. If the guy at the boat ramp that stopped to give us a hand with my motor and took time out of his fishing trip to help me is on here or sees this(did not catch his name) .. Thank you my friend.
Glad, in the end, you had a great day.

Glad it turned out to be a good day! Wish you had different holders though...
Also good to see that flat is holding fish again. Been a few years since we have done good there.
