    Default Just wondering?

Seems the reports come and go on the Bama board! I was just wondering if folks don't post as many reports as they use to because of lurkers? I have ran into several folks out on the water that when they see the crappie.com sticker on my boat or in conversation will mention they keep up with reports and even know my post? I try to post often to keep board interesting but have been thinking of backing off from posting as much myself! Just from thinking about this it seems folks will post reports for a while and then stop and you don't hear much from them anymore....maybe they are just busy or feel like they are giving out to much info? I have got to where I get a good many PM's asking questions and I love to help folks but would like to see more get involved on the board. Hope folks don't take this post wrong... I just honestly was wondering why others don't post much? Thanks and God Bless!

on the crappie fishing front, I have been bombing, didn't think anyone wants to know about that, still catching trout at madison county lake and some catfish from the bank, gonna try taking my boat and troll around to see if I can find the elusive (to me anyway) crappie.

Been doing a lot of trout fishing of late myself. Most folks don't seem very interested in that, and I have not been on the crappie since early Dec. Can't seem to get a good pattern going. The other thing I find is that when folks are catching they get tight lipped to keep folks off of their spots. Usually not a problem when you're in a boat but for us guys fishing from the bank, it can get crowded.

Aweful tight lipped on the BAMA board.... Which I can post freely being nobody else seems to fish Martin up here. Thought I would meet some guys on Martin to fish with , no such luck. The locals I know will not give up their spots for fear of over fishing. That's why I've been making my own honey holes.

I think there's 20 people reading for every person that post. I just wish people would say I got a few on Bobby G in Limestone Bay, 10 feet deep. I'm not chasing someone elses spot, I try to avoid other boats! It's nice to know what depth the fish are though!

I got a few with minnows on Wheeler.

Seriously, haven't had much to brag about lately.

Also, there are a bunch of tournaments coming up. Folks probably get a little more quiet before those events.

I was down at Wheeler Dam one time and some hardcore blue cat fisherman was down there getting skipjack and shad. I mentioned that I always wanted to try and catch a big catfish and asked where's a good place above the dam to fish for a big blue. He was like "I can't tell you", I was like okay......wow it's not like I'm coming to steal your spot, jacka**. I will never competitively fish, I don't want to ever get that attitude.

Don't feel bad Stymie, Sat was a very slow day for me. I plan on going out again this Sat regardless of the weather. There talking about a high of 38 and snow!
