    Default Logan Yesterday 4/16/10 (pics)

Got out on Logan late yesterday morning, prolly about 10 am. Went upriver past Fret's honey hole and tried a cove I've never fished before, the place was full of green trout and Stripe! The Crappie hardly had a chance to bite my jig before a bass or stripe would get it.

This Striper thought it would be funny to bite the jig on my 10' noodle rod with 4 lb. test.. that was a fight!

I did manage to get one good Crappie and had a big black male spit the hook half way in at that hole. I released the Crappie I landed.

Went back down river to Fret's honey hole and got 3 good crappie and a few bass and small stripe, it was real slow. I released the Crappie there too, so as not to be accused of stealing another mans fish!:p I left Fret's cove at 2pm when they started pulling water at the dam because I wanted to try one of my old holes right off the main river channel while the water was moving, it was a good choice.

There was another boat in the area when I pulled in, but they left as soon as I started setting up. It took a few minutes them, but when I did... they were all real good fish! They started biting right at 3 pm. when the second turbine kicked in at the dam.

The water temps were 74-78*F, the jig colors were Wiess lake killer and Green Hornet, both with red heads.

A couple pics from the last hole.

I didn't realize it at the time, but the little snot in my left hand flipped a drop of water on my camera lens to show me he was a badass!

All fish were released, I have plenty in the freezer and didn't feel like cleaning fish again. I have their names and addresses.:D

All I have to do now is find those curly things on the bank and I will be in the right spot.
