Thread: Weiss Lake - Friday - Sept. 4

My partner and I fished a while this morning; 6:30am til noon. Weather was pleasant, slight wind, sunny.

We fished the main Coosa River ledges - mid-lake - 10 to 17 ' deep, with minnows. We had 11 good keepers. The crappie should start moving and feeding heavily soon. Shad everywhere.

This week's mornings were in the 60's and the highs only the 80's. The water temp is cooling down, about 76 morning, up to 80 by noon. It won't be long now, and I getting that warm and fuzzy feeling again.

All the fish that Pop and I caught were close to Yellow Creek on the main river ledge in 12 to 16 ft. Had to have the minnows right on the bottom to do any good. GOOD FISHING, Terry
