That is a super nice fish. Congrats my friend!
Sometimes you go in just simply knowing you about to have a difficult time ketchn crappie.
post eclipse maybe ? big bad storm and 4 plus inches of rain during the spawn .
water chilled and got murky er ....
you roll up , NOT a peck along the bank and you start to worry .....
you move out on the dock to deeper waters , you ketch a few and THEN ....
minus monnows and LS and a boat it dawns on ya .....they want it just so so and to be very sure of this part .....
they want the fella in the Crappie.com gear to smoke the living fire out of them
So once again in a world of wonder how it will be today
Crappie.com gear to the rescue , GO get ya some ....
KABOOM
51 keepers in an hour and 15 minutes and wasted some of that figuring out how it had to be to hammer em like ya mean it ....
particulars are as follows , on cover in multiple areas in water 6 to 9 foot deep .
jig had to be lightly hopping up up and up and then let fall ....
no intermediate water fish and no shallow water fish
and then this ....a 16.5 inch whale fish at the end of the show
sure made the 14 inch fish earlier in the outing look so so ....
AND I happened to be using something with orange in it ....just saying
p.s. set them all free
All that being said....how in the world did you get that many fish unhooked that fast...it takes me forever and then i gotta chase em around the boat...rofl

that is a great question , some folks think I am just kidding around about my ketchn of fish and or just making stuff up , I have no clue what the water temp. was exactly , but I often gauge what they are doing after I dip my jig in the drink a bit and then hold it in my hand .
there is a method to my madness and to be sure if my jig feels warmer one day than another , it is a sign to be reckoned with.
my jig felt kinda cool to the touch as did the fish and they were both a bit warmer the day before .....if that tells ya much

H and I discussed what is slinging and what is not , if you have followed my posts much you will see me tell of numbers in minutes that many say is impossible ....someone questioned my fish per hour count the other day .....
H has been mentored by me for several years now and can tell you this about that .....
when the bite is on , an average of more than one a minute is diddly .....that is NO FISH story and on a side note .....
I can get pictures as I do it ......not playing when I am after the fish is me ....
now mind you this , a really nice specimen , might kill an extra minute on images , but to be VERY sure of this ....
I am totally set up to rock and roll them like a banshee and might JUST in fact do so .....
