Nice looking gear
I have been reading about Meiho boxes for years...just never bought any. Today my order came and I must say I am very impressed. This is top quality gear....the cost is reasonable but shipping is quite high. But....I got mine out of Japan. Meiho has a webstore in California and has free shipping but you must order 139 bucks to qualify for free shipping. Yeah I know a lot of money. They have all types of boxes but I was looking at the UL type gearboxes...and they have a bunch. I will do a video review in a few days on the boxes I got. The box with the Trout Magnets inside is their Light Game J Box. By the way their boxes are made in Japan. Just some info for those that have wondered about their boxes....in my opinion they're everything they're cracked up to be.

I like the boxes Randy. Are those your go to colors for the TM?

Actually only the Bison and Sow Bug are my go to colors. I just carry the others in case the fish do not want the 2 top colors…which I have to say is rare. I think I have around 5000 Bison colored Trout Magnets. Even if they quit making them I got enough to see me through for my lifetime….LOL. Of course I got that many as I was given the keys to the store so to speak about 5 years back.

I’ll get some pic’s tomorrow using the slit foam for the D2 jigs….which is basically a lop sided head hair jig. But the thing is deadly on trout in deeper water. I’m constantly trying to do better organization. When I fished out of a kayak I only used a Plano 3700 box. Did that for 4 years or so and it served me well. Now that I am on a trout river need a little different setup. On days when there is no flow the Light Game J box will be all I need. On heavy water days take the small crank…spoons and the D2 jigs. Should work out pretty good.
