Someone told me you can connect a computer monitor, or smart TV to the ethernet cable from a Humminbird head unit to get a much larger view of the screen in the boat.
Does anyone know if this is true ? I understand the monitor would need power from an inverter .....

I used a Samsung Tablet to connect through Bluetooth with a small 5" Lowrance side scan I had.

I asked my buddy where he saw this info, and he sent me this link ..... DIY Humminbird Video Out - YouTube
The youtuber never really shows what model HB unit, or explains the connections in detail, but something like this would be awesome with my new helix 10 and mega 360.
Gonna do some research and report back.

Ever notice how you can’t see your phone screen in direct Sun ...
Most monitors have that same issue ...
“Sunlight viewable” is a real thing in monitors ... and one of the major costs in depth finder components ...
