I cut bamboo at 10' lengths. Anchor seven or eight in a concrete block held together by ready mix concrete. Zip tie swimming noodles (cut into two foot lengths) in the top, usually four or five, to hold it upright. Don't lose many jigs at all 'cause the branches are smooth and difficult to penetrate with a hook. They branch up at a sharper angle than a cedar. And they take a long time to break down.
I need to find some bamboo

I know of a couple of spots bamboo can be cut and hauled off. Can ask about other locations. Best to cut during the winter. Bring a truck and trailer to haul off all you'll need. Plan a day touring the area and a day cutting.
Hey guys if anyone needs any bamboo, I have plenty. Free get all you want. All I ask is for it to be cut with a sawzall flush/ straight across, close to ground level. No axe, hatchet or machete cuts. That stuff cur at an angle is rough on a tire.
