I cut bamboo at 10' lengths. Anchor seven or eight in a concrete block held together by ready mix concrete. Zip tie swimming noodles (cut into two foot lengths) in the top, usually four or five, to hold it upright. Don't lose many jigs at all 'cause the branches are smooth and difficult to penetrate with a hook. They branch up at a sharper angle than a cedar. And they take a long time to break down.
