Nice indeed! Some nice fish and a good christening of your new rod.

I took my new 6’ St Croix Avid Panfish ULF rod to our Town Pond this morning with hopes of giving it a proper sliming .
Paired up with a Daiwa LT 1000S , spooled with 2# P-Line CXX Crystal Clear copolymer line .
I like the 2# P-line CXX CC a lot . It’s thin diameter and the strongest line I’ve found .
Back to the rod .
Using a 1/64 jighead and Bobby Garland Itty Bitty SwimR I could get 40-50 feet casts if the wind would leave me alone . The wind was gusty .
The rod is Avid metallic grey with black wraps highted with metallic blue . Paired up nicely with the Daiwa Lt reel .
This rod is very sensitive and I was able to hookup on the first tap from a decent bluegill that put a nice bend in the rod .
This rod I would call more moderate/fast than fast . It bends about halfway with a fish on , but the tip is fast enough to cast light lures .
The handle/grip is very comfortable. I like it best of the Panfish series , both the current and the original.
I caught five bluegills , two shellcrackers that gave the rod a nice workout , and a small largemouth that I caught on a jig spinner/ 1/64 jig with the BG IB SwimR.
Two hours fishing , seven fish , I called that a proper sliming

Nice indeed! Some nice fish and a good christening of your new rod.
