Don't throw them away. Put them on your night stand. They make great home defense weapons.

Thanks for reminding me I'm pretty sure mine is out of date.

I don't think I'm gonna need one and if I see anyone else trying to put out my boat fire, I'm gonna hit em over the head. Let her burn. Lol

I thought we had to carry floatation devices so if our boats caught on fire, we could go swimming with the Asian carp. Can I say "nanny state"?
Yes, fire extinguishers are a good idea, just not something I feel should be mandated. It's just more regulations to violate rights against unreasonable search and seizure.
Now, leave me alone while I travel across the flat earth to buy tin foil to make my hat, m'kay?

While working on my boat today, I thought about this thread. My extinguisher is fine. That made me think I should check my Coast Guard mandated flares. Ooops! Expired a couple of years ago. New set ordered.
Thanks Clint!

I always thought they were worthless...TELL YOU NEED ONE!!!!!!!!!
There was a pretty bad wreck in front of my house years ago. One of the vehicles was on fire. I am glad I had an extinguisher handy and the training to use it properly.
