They destroyed a number of vehicles at Alum Creek outside of Columbus Ohio. I worry about ours but I refuse to let it ruin my day on the water, they are to far and few between.

I was always under the impression they quit putting precious metals in them a few years ago.

There is a local welder who builds cages out of rebar welded to the frame to make it harder to get to the exhaust.

It is astonishing how many commercially available anti theft devices there are for catalytic converts there are out there.

Nowadays there are many who will just look the other way and not get involved when they see something like this happening. I can’t imagine the satisfaction I would get by holding my 9mm on some perp while waiting for the cops to arrive. I’ll let the cops take care of it but I refuse to look the other way.

Rhodium, platinum, and palladium. (I'll throw in) I know this from being in the chemical industry for so many years. These are high dollar metals. How the criminals found out falls along the line of supply and demand. Really interesting on how the metals are recovered from used converters.

I learned tonight that the scallywags got the CCs from our church van and our Disaster Relief truck. Taking the CC from the Super Duty Ford they cut the fuel tank!
