Interesting ties. Looks like they would work very well of crappie
A short video on a jig that is fished on the Delaware for those big browns. The standard ball jig is a nice jig for crappie and other panfish. Tying a Delaware River Jig - YouTube

The love for fishing is one of the best gifts you can pass along
Looks great I'd love to try some but I'm not setup to tie these days, my dad lives up in Walton and I'm down by the 84 bridge so these may work good for me. How are they fishing these for trout, crappie would definitely eat them.
I enjoyed the video. It’s always so relaxing to watch you tie. Good looking jigs. Thanks for sharing.
@JWirth do you sell any of the tied heads?
From what I have been told these are fished like a weighted nymph letting the current take the jig along the bottom. Ill fish dries all day and feel Im OK with streamers but I never really got the hang of most sub-surface fly fishing.

I haven't flyfished much recently but I always liked nymphing. I'll get set up someday again, probably build the rod. I'd like to give making bamboo rods a try, just need a source for the bamboo.
Tonkin Cane.com Importers of fine quality Tonkin Try them for the bamboo. It has been along time since I bought from them so I don’t know if they are still selling it.
