The two on my list would be , definitely the peacock bass . I’ve wanted to catch one of those every since I saw Larry Dahiberg catch them on his “ Hunt for Big Fish “ show and I found out they were in south Florida.
The other one I think would be fun to catch are the Oscars . They remind me of a bluegill on steroids.

You are right about the the UL rod for these bruisers, that's why my travel rod is the ML variety up to 12lb test line and can fit in a 18inch tall carry-on (Frontier Air mandatory..Lol) that could handle most species off piers and some freshwater invasives as well.
