I got tied of chipping the paint off of my ice jigs using hemostats. I emailed the company who makes my ice jigs and told him the paint was chipping off. He recommended using these Cold Snap hook removers.

I have some of those, but they are too big for small gills. The one on the rocket bobber is perfect size, I wish they would make them all that size .
