That is a nice collection of vintage gear. I recognized the Mitchell. What is the one with the red handle and drag knob
Not talkin bout those great songs from the 50's-70's (although I do have a nice collection of vinyl from that era). I'm referring to those rods and reels from that same time period. Fished the past two days with a couple of classic Fenwick glass ultra lite rods paired up with a Quick Microlite 265 and a Garcia Mitchell 308. Fish were not coming easy, hot and muggy weather, but still enjoyed being out there. Today, right before noon, I caught a Green sunfish/Gill hybrid that put a big smile on my face. Nicest one I have caught and hit a classic lure to boot. Came up and inhaled a Arbogast Teeny Hula Popper. Love that aggression they get from the Green sunfish side. Quite a thrill when landed. Here's a few pics from the 2 days. Thanks for lookin!

Nice catches and outfits.
I have an old Mitchell 408 around here someplace . Sweet reel.
I have it on an old Shakespeare fiberglass UL rod .
Used to be my favorite.
Would love to have an old Fenwick UL glass rod .

Thanks for posting pictures of vintage gear still being used. Nice to see it in such great shape. My first “good” fishing rig was a Shakespeare Presidential Wonder Rod and a Mitchell 300. I was in 7th grade (1967) and purchased them with my paper route money. They were my most prized and beloved possessions. I broke the rod by leaving it unprotected in the trunk of my car a few years ago and was crushed, and mad, at my carelessness. I had a lot of wonderful adventures with that rig.Still have the Mitchell and have been watching for a Wonder Rod for years…..

The Wonder rod I still have is yellow glass , it was my wife’s outfit when we used to fish together. She took the 408 from me and left me with a Daiwa UL reel that I had on a white Wonder rod .
My white rod had the tip chopped off closing the hatchback of my Chevy Vega GT , I owned back then . I almost cried . I could never find another .
I’ll have to get it out and snap a picture one day ..
