I agree with you on the looks of the 18 Caldia. She sure is pretty!
I too have the 18 Caldia 1000s. Looks sharp and I usually pair it up with 6’’10”” Lunakia or the 6’’3”” Major Craft Finetail UL. Been mulling over the Airity but haven’t fished enough this spring to justify it... yet.

If anyone is looking for a sub $150 JDM reel, I must say I'm really liking my new Shimano Ultegra. As I understand it this reel was redesigned for 2021. It has many features that have trickled down from the higher end Shimanos. I went with the C2000SHG which I use the high gear ratio for reaction baits. It's reasonably light, comes in one 1000 series and two 2000 series models and so far has performed well for me.
It is discounted at some sites. In my opinion it's probably the best value out there for a sub $150 reel. I paid $135 for it shipped. Of course as you go up in price the reels get better, but it's roughly 40% of the cost of a TwinPower and still performs really well.

Anyone have intel when the Abu Garcia Zenon 1000s will hit the stores? Searched a little bit this morning but didn’t come across anything.
Also looking at the Luvias Airity to pair with the Lunakia, but not 100% committed to that yet.

Selling point is "The worlds lightest spinning reel". What's the point? Being the lightest means nothing other than it the lightest. I think about the best UL I ever had was the Mitchell 308 and if it was lightest or not didn't matter to me. I don't weight my reels. I either like them or I don't. Just because a reel is heavier or lighter doesn't inspire confidence in me. That old 308 I could bet the farm on, flawless little reel, well flawless in my mind!
