It aint true pank, I would call it more of a hanky panky jig.
I know the feeling. I have had several of my ideas stolen from me and patented by those with deeper pockets. (Poor Man's Fishing Bucket; Home Impact Socket Wrench; Full body pillow for pregnant women; Stickers for license plates instead of buying new tags every year etc.) People have been replicating, duplicating and imitating ideas of other people for years. One patent attorney once told me is all they had to do was add a screw or bolt in a different location in order to change your idea to something else. I also am still a positive guy who loves to create, fish and share with like minded people. I do like your ideas though.

Lindy made a jig called a fuzzy Grub, which worked quite well for me.
The grub is quite similar to the one described.
I did something similar my friend when I was making jelly jigs. Here is how I did it. Tail material can be Marabou feathers or rubber legs.
You can cut old plastic worms down to size the the jelly body. Fish don't seem to care. You can also get jelly jig bodies from Snake River on the DIY Soft Plastic forum which I did.
