I haven’t a clue.
Any members fish the Citrus County section of the Withlacoochee River?

Thanks for checkin' on me! CURIOSITY takes me there, SUCCESS ushers me back!
Looks like an untapped adventure, many preserves along it's track, would imagine a very scenic peaceful place...

Very much so Jeff = high potential= finally turning over a new rock close to home(for an added perk...less time/travel expense)

I’ve seen some video of the panfish there but that was long ago. Worm fishing as I remember.

If you do a search, I asked a few years back when more were posting from west side. I recall Yelim and fishin813 and a few others had spent some time on it. If I remember right they had limited success on specks but were well entertained by shellcrackers and copperheads. Not sure the exact area they were fishing but I was interested in your area around Dunnellion.
Actually Mike, Lake Rousseau, which is the dammed up section of the Cooch, has a very nice fishery. Although hazardous outside the marked channel, I have enjoyed great success w/bluegill/crappie and some shellcracker. Fishing was thriving until a hurricane(3 years ago?) significantly impacted it. Fishin813 had a C.com friend (Jamin) that did an article(Summer longlining) about 7 or 8 yrs. ago and did extremely well. Additionally 89 Ranger also enjoyed banner shellcracker/bluegill fishing there. Harold(fishing813) decided against FCC tourney there due to out of channel underwater trees. I believe Yelim only fished it moons ago a few times. Anyway, same river(cooch) will have great potential for me w/o the travel to St. John's for the variables I enjoy. Just like anything, time/effort expended will hopefully yield success. Now, if I only new someone with marksmanship skills in the ultralight "skinny-mini" category to act as a panfish posse/ deputy...hmmmm?!!
Hopefully, in time, I will be able to put the pieces together= New Year's resolution. They say that hindsight is 2020, my case foresight is 2020
